Zoom Video Communications is an American remote conferencing services company headquartered in San Jose, California. It provides a far off conferencing service that mixes video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration.

Zoom claims that its closed source software is compliant with FedRAMP, HIPAA, PIPEDA and PHIPA, and thus the GDPR, however, these claims cannot be verified by security researchers around the world because the applications are closed source. Zoom has received various industry recognition for its products.
Initially, Zoom could host conferences with up to fifteen video participants, increased to 25 in January 2013, to 100 with version 2.5 in October 2015, and later to 1,000 for business customers. Between 2015 and mid-2016, Zoom Video Communications announced native support for Skype for Business and integration with Slack.
To install Zoom on your computer first open your preferred browser by double-clicking on it. In the search bar of the browser type zoom.us. When the web page opens click the download link provided at the bottom. Download center will open where you need to click the download icon under the heading Zoom Caller For Meetings. The file will be downloaded. Now open the file and click Yes icon, the installation process begins. Once the installation process over, the Zoom icon will be available on desktop.
If you are new to zoom then create your zoom account by signing up. To join a meeting click the icon Join the meeting. It will ask for a meeting id and password. Get it from your host and enter it. Wait till the host arrives. When the host arrives click the agree on an icon for accepting the terms and conditions if you are new to the meeting.
You can test the Microphone and speaker’s quality of your computer by clicking the respective icon. Now you can join the meeting by clicking the icon Join with Computer Audio to hear the conversations. Now you are officially in the meeting. At the right bottom of the Zoom screen, you have two icons such as Unmute and Start Video which can be used at required conditions. At the center you have buttons such as Invite, Share the screen, etc., using which you can invite other new participants and share your screen with other participants if the host approves. You can leave the meeting by clicking leave icon at the left end of the screen
